|Rescue Me ID: 16-10-03-00429George (male)|
George & Tracie, siblings, lab/setter mixes, 7-8 years old. These two love and adore each other. Came in together as strays to a high kill shelter. George, the brown fella, was the worst off with massive fur loss, neglect and poor body condition. Both are healthy, chunky furkids now and just the sweetest dogs. They need a home as the only pets. Tracie is very dog reactive, except with her brother. They are house broken, fully vetted, love everyone including children. They have an intense fear of thunderstorms, and fireworks-and pretty much fall apart. So, they will need extra love and attention during these times, or have the option of a sound proof solid room/basement where they cannot hear the sounds. They do settle somewhat with reassurance. It's sad to see them so frantic so chances are, they've been stuck in storms or have had some bad and traumatic experiences with these occurrences. They will need a fenced yard. They are gorgeous and beautiful and extremely loving, George is the more dominant of the two and will push Tracie out of his way for attention. They have never been crated, have never had an accident in the house, and need only love and a little extra attention with the sounds they fear. (Less)

English Setter Dogs can make good pets in Ohio if they match your IifestyIe. The English Setter is a medium sized, lightly speckled, slim and elegant dog. English Setters are gentle pets that are wonderful with children. English Setters are calm indoors but need a large fenced yard in which to roam and play. This breed can be difficult to housebreak, and likes to bark. English Setters are great with other dogs, and enjoy plenty of human and canine companionship.
